Its name derives from a pair of “Racer Steamer” ducks – called locally Pato Quetrus- that inhabit the lagoon where the shelter is located. Unlike the Alerces shelter, this refuge is rented privately being ideal for smaller groups, families, couples, etc. It has a total capacity for 8 people. All you need to bring is the food for your dayily stay.

To reach Questrus Refuge you walk for 5.5 hours approximately to cover a total distance of 10 km. This refuge is characterized by offering its visitors a total privacy and a mesmerizing view to the mountains of granite. All this in a place surrounded by mythical larches.
